nonscriptum: Let Me Show You It (hold on a drew a picture)

There must be a beginning of any great matter, but the continuing unto the end until it be thoroughly finished yields the true glory.
Tim Gutterson

Deputy U.S. Marshal

Former Army Ranger, served in the Middle East. Likes Lunchables a little too much and flirts as a defense mechanism. Seeing Klaus?

Gone.
Rey

Optimistic doer. Apparently from another time far, far distant to this one. Organized the Everest expedition and held her own on the mountain.

Good kid. She wants to get things done and doesn't take being patronized lying down, which is a great quality. Watched her get into several fights with Clarke once. Wish I'd had popcorn at the time.

Clarke Griffin ★

co-owner, Red Wings

Self-appointed leader of the Displaced.

Runs Red Wings with Stephen. Pretty much up in everything all the time. Not necessarily a bad thing, because she's definitely been here long enough to have built up a pretty substantial understanding of the place, but has a very "my way or the highway" approach. If there's some kind of rowdy conversation going on in the Displaced network, you can bet your ass she's in there replying to every other comment.
Stephen Strange ★

co-owner, Red Wings

Doctor, magician, occasional hermit. Seriously, what can't this guy do? Had the good grace to hire me not long after I showed up and I'd like to think I can call him a friend. He's got this thing about playing his cards close to the vest while simultaneously needling around for other people's information, though I don't think it's malicious. Tolerates my jokes.

Kind of a busybody but means well most of the time. Seems to have a much higher opinion of me than I deserve.

He ran my life for 20 years in The Aerie. That's gonna be hard to deal with.
Klaus Mikaelson

professional asshole

Seemed like an almost overly-friendly guy up until I mentioned that someone he knew (see next page) tried to rip my throat out with her teeth. Belatedly threatened me into silence. Hiding something. Seeing Tim?

Good riddance.
Caroline Forbes

socialite

Party planner and vampire. Chased me across half the city in an attempt to drink my blood, and I'll be honest, I'm sort of fond of the stuff inside me rather than out. Seemed apologetic; I know it wasn't her fault.

Could stand to have better taste in friends, though.

Gone.
Fenris

a bit prickly ;)

A little stiff at times but he's got a sense of humor in there somewhere. Quiet guy with some hair-trigger issues, mostly related to magic. His world sucks, apparently. Poor bastard seems like he got the short end of the stick for most of his life. Manages to stand being around me, so...that's a plus?

Recently came back from a jump of about seven years. Jesus. Can't catch a fucking break, can he?

He's gone. Left me a book.

I should be used to this.
Wade Wilson

mercenary

Former Canadian military, absurdly ripped. Really big fan of the color red. Current roommate and bouncer at Red Wings. Concentrated dumbass levels are off the charts, but he knows his shit and is fun to be around. Deep appreciation for puns, which means he has excellent taste. Has probably killed countless people in countless ways. He's not really big on volunteering details.

King of making pancakes. Close friend. We've had a few rough conversations but I get the feeling that Wade's never really had friends before, and I'm notoriously bad at it, so we're all learning things.

Godric Northman

oldest man alive

The brain of an immortal in the body of a teenager, and it's a little terrifying. Surprisingly chill for someone who is a vampire, given the experiences I've had with them. Nice conversationalist, really dry sense of humor.

Gone.
Wei Wuxian

if speed was a person

From ancient China, but does not give off that impression at all. Really enthusiastic and a little forward, but I think that's a feature and not a bug.

I feel kind of bad about avoiding a handshake but that was before I really got a handle on this empathy bond thing.

Gone.
Daisy Johnson

handy(wo)man

Both helped me to break into someone's apartment so I could steal some real sketchbooks, and built me a gun. Solid basis for friendship.

Gone.
Quentin Coldwater

stressed but not blessed

Pretty chummy guy, willing to outsource for information. Seems like he might be a researcher of some variety.

Radiates anxiety and now I understand why. Poor bastard's dead like me.

Drake Holloway

ex-Hadriel

First familiar face from Hadriel. Never knew each other well except in the periphery, probably because he worked on the shiny, legitimate side of the Guard while I dug around for Nick in the places where people weren't looking.

Nice guy.
Cecily Trevelyan

ex-Hadriel

Another semi-familiar face. Didn't know her that well in Hadriel either, except we apparently shared a strong mutual friend in Taako. Not really that surprising given Taako's everything. Shame she's stuck here too though it'll be nice to get to know her.

Even if I want to throw up a little every time she says "Maker's balls."

Gone.
Lance Sweets

sweater vest advocate

I never thought I'd be so happy to see him again.

It sucks he didn't go home, or didn't go somewhere else, after the gate closed. After we all said goodbye. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relieved he's here, because I missed his stupid face and his stupid sweater vests and I even missed that really annoying way he pinpoints what's wrong in 2 seconds. He's got his heart in the right place.

Who would've known he would become the troublemaker in this place? I don't think the establishment really understands how little Lance gives a shit about their opinion seeing as he's dead. I'm worried they're going to make things hard for him.
Ian Fowler

Californication

Former engineering teacher and shameless flirt, California stereotype that will deny being a California stereotype.

We were in a relationship in The Aerie for 10 years. Untangling that hasn't been easy. I lost everything back home. I don't know what to tell him. I don't know how to tell him. Is it selfish to want something?

We talked. Things are okay. More than okay. I'm a little freaked out at how well they're going, actually. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I don't want to be a screw-up because he deserves way better than that.

Midge Maisel

c. 1960

Sharp and ridiculously funny, talking with Midge is like constantly aiming for moving targets. Apparently she was a comedian back home, so that tracks. Has a thing about always looking put-together, but I'm not sure if that's the time period or just her.

Extremely charming, and worse than that: she knows it. She keeps telling me I sound like I'm from her time. I keep telling her I will take that as a compliment.

Gone. Really miss her already.
Sam Drake

older brother

He lied to me for weeks. Doesn't escape me that I did the same to Elena, also doesn't escape me that it feels really, really shitty, and I feel really, really stupid. I should have known better. I should have looked it up.

He's family. I'd do anything for him, and I'm glad he's here, but trusting him again is still really hard. It's not that he doesn't talk to me, he just doesn't talk about the things that are hurting the most. Wish he would.

Gone. I never got to forgive him. God, I'm so fucking stupid.

Gaby ★

testy for good reason

Can't say that publicly reaming me did much to endear me to her organization. If they're anything like the hopeful, rebellious paramilitary groups back home, they're about as ruthless as the people they're combating. Necessary, but naive to think they're totally altruistic. She's probably lost a lot. I get it. So has everyone else.

She's willing to let me get some contacts in with Morningstar, hopefully that'll give me some material to work with. I've got some theories...

Theories confirmed.
Kyna Medina

the Perrier of people

Bartender at Red Wings. Close friend of Ian's, roommate of Lance's. Funny and warm, but asks a lot of probing questions. She's probably just curious.

Did some kind of shoddy heist with Sam and a couple of teenagers and got caught in the process so I'm a little worried about the possibility for future plans that get people in trouble. Went off at me when I expressed how much I disagreed with said heist. Pretty much spent half an hour putting words in my mouth. Yikes.

Was kind of dating/sleeping with (??) Sam for a while, until he disappeared.

Goro Akechi

Hot Topic's Prom King

Must have gotten coal in his stocking every year since he was born. Manipulative kid that gives orphanage bullies a run for their money. Does this thing when he argues where he constantly moves the goalposts and then resorts to insults when called on it. Dating Ren. Accused me of trying to make a martyr of myself, and that's not even how martyrdom works. Unless he's planning my murder.

Campaigning for most likely to be a serial killer when he grows up.

Ren Amamiya

Prom...Queen? I don't know

Bartender at Red Wings. Most improved at pouring a beer. Generally pretty insightful, though I'm still not a fan of how the execution of that heist went down. I feel like I know how Sully felt now.

Seems like the only thing standing between his boyfriend and active homicide.

Ellie Miller

badass

She's seen some shit. More than anyone her age should have had to see. It's a little uncanny, how much we have in common because of it. We handle things differently, I think, but we both know loss.

I like her either way, she's fearless and quick with a joke and a really good artist. One of these days I wanna teach her how to scale some of these buildings.
Gene Hicks

army medic c. 1940s

Maybe it's just the accent, but Gene reminds me of home. He's sharp and funny, but has a really gentle edge to him that I'm sure could harden in a second if he felt pressed.

He can also talk to the dead - or could, back home - and that's the coolest shit I've ever heard.
